Wastes Accepted

Plains Environmental offers a number of services designed for the treatment, processing and disposal of oilfield byproducts generated by the upstream petroleum industry. Our facilities offer waste management, truck/tank washing, steaming and water disposal for both the oilfield and well as some industrial services. We can accept various types of waste including, but not limited to, the following:

Upstream wastes

  • Liquids, sludge, contaminated solids
  • Drilling cuttings, fluids and wastes

Midstream wastes

  • Transmission and storage operation wastes

Downstream wastes

  • Post-refined wastes and by-products
  • Processed hydrocarbon wastes and spills

Industrial wastes

  • Glycols, hydraulic fluids, lubricants
  • Ethanol, bio-fuels and mineral oils
  • Compressor oils, metal contaminated oils

Hazardous and Non-Hazardous goods
NORM materials

  • Naturally occurring radioactive materials
  • Free on site screening available
